Was trying to find a cafe for a late night supper and managed to find a Hong Kong styled cafe, Gossip Cafe 港是讲啡 in Serangoon Gardens that operates till 2.00am daily. Like most Hong Kong styled cafe in Singapore, their cafe was also beautifully decorated with tons of pictures of Old Hong Kong streets.
I browsed through their menu and saw a wide range of food items, most of them are inspired from Hong Kong cuisine, such as Baked Rice, Spaghetti, Pork Chop Platter rice and reasonably priced. Their burgers were however rather interesting though as they were named after the different areas in Hong Kong, e.g Central Beef Burger, Causeway Bay Mini Pork Burger. If I am not wrong, the food items should be available till late as well.
Because it was too late at night, I decided to opt in for a dessert instead. I ordered the Chilled Gingko Barley ($3.50).
It was served in a gorgeous bowl and was chilled just nice. The taste of the dessert was excellent as well, it was thick and you can chew the barley seeds in mouth unlike some other dessert stalls out there which served Gingko Barley that was mushy.
I am happy with their service as well and am definitely looking to make another trip back to the cafe to taste their food items. If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable place for dessert, don't hesitate further!
